Product Description

1.Detail description

Sorbitol alias Sorbitol, English name Sorbitol, D-glucitol, Sorbol, D-sorbitol. The molecular formula is C6H14O6, which is the main photosynthetic product of rosaceae plants. It is white hygroscopic powder or crystal powder, flake or granule, odorless. The melting point varies from 88 ºC to 102ºC, and the relative density is about 1.49. Soluble in water (1g soluble in about 0.45mL water), slightly soluble in ethanol and acetic acid. It has a cool sweet taste, about half as sweet as sucrose, and a calorific value similar to sucrose. It does not cause tooth decay when used as a sweetener. Most of the food industry is 69~71% content of sorbitol liquid. Toxicity tests have shown that oral overdose can cause diarrhea and digestive disorders.

2.Usage
1. Used for the production of vitamin C raw material, sorbitol through fermentation and chemical synthesis can be prepared vitamin C.
2. Raw materials for industrial surfactants, used to produce spane and Tween class surfactants. Sorbitol has moisturizing properties and is used as a substitute for glycerin in toothpaste, cigarettes and cosmetics.
3. With sorbitol and propylene oxide as raw materials, polyurethane rigid foam with certain flame retardant properties can be produced.
4. In the food industry, can be used as sweetener, moisturizer, chelating agent and tissue improver.
5. In the pharmaceutical industry, sorbitol nitrifying sorbitol to form a dehydrating sorbitol ester is used in the treatment of coronary heart disease. Food additives, cosmetic raw materials, organic synthetic raw materials, moisturizers, solvents, etc.
