Ethanol, organic compound, molecular formula C2H6O, structure simple formula CH3CH2OH or C2H5OH, commonly known as alcohol, is the most common unitary alcohol.Ethanol is a kind of flammable and volatile colorless transparent liquid at room temperature and atmospheric pressure.Having a special flavour and a little irritation;Sweet, with a pungent, pungent taste.Flammable, its vapor can form an explosive mixture with air, and can be intersoluble with water at any ratio.It was miscible with chloroform, ether, methanol, acetone and most other organic solvents, and its relative density (d15.56) was 0.816.
